Christmas Day is a public holiday in Barbados.
On this special day many Barbadians enjoy church services, Christmas in Queen’s Park, and spending time with family and friends while savouring baked ham, jug jug, great cake and other traditional Xmas dishes.
A drive to see the lights and decorations on show by homes, businesses and public spaces is also a treasured family activity at this time of year.
